Senna’s early career races in England are shown on a track next to a mountain range
Narrative
A fictional miniseries based on the life of Ayrton Senna da Silva, the Brazilian racing legend who won the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship three times. The writers of this series said they had some restrictions due to Senna’s family’s involvement in the production.
The superlatives used are frequent and exaggerated
There are no mountains in England – especially Norfolk, which is known for its flat landscape. Honestly, the writing is the only drawback to this otherwise fantastic drama.
Also, why does it portray English F3 fans as lunatics/bare-chested animals?
I understand that it is a dramatization, but if I hear "miracle" again to describe driving, well. Anyone around at the time would tell you that it was (and still is) maintained and watched by reserved types.
The kind you might find at the Oval or Lords
There seemed to be quite an anti-English thread in episode two that just wasn’t there for Ayrton. He was well supported and really well respected for his skills on the track.
Also, why has Murray Walker been relegated to such a small role?
He was a personal friend of Ayrton’s but barely saw any screen time.
